Sheffield and Balby Area Quaker Meeting act as data controller when we collect personal data from our customers, prospective customers, staff and other stakeholders for room hire and website enquiries.

We collect this data in the legitimate interests of supporting our work, and for some types of data collection for the performance of a contract. How we collect data

Sheffield Quaker Meeting House collects personal data through:

  • Midas Room Booking software which act as our Customers database
  • Booking enquiry emails
  • Job application forms
  • Surveys
  • CCTV

CCTV is used at the Friends Meeting House, Sheffield, premises for security and customer service purposes. Footage is stored securely for a limited period of time and is not passed on to any third parties excluding the police (for the purposes of criminal investigations)

Balby (Doncaster) Quaker Meeting House collects personal data through Booking enquiry web forms and Booking enquiry emails.

All Sheffield and Balby Area Meeting websites collect information via enquiry web forms.

We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK Data Protection legislation.

Why we collect data

We collect this data, primarily contact data, in order to offer services and events to our customers and the general public. We also use the data collected to carry out administrative work.

We ensure that any third party contractors we use comply with the UK Data Protection legislation and EU General Data Protection Regulations. We do not transfer your data outside the EEA. Data in paper form is held securely and destroyed securely.
